How often should you actually deep clean?

A simple, room-by-room rhythm that keeps your home fresh year-round — without losing your weekends to it.

Everyone knows they should deep clean “regularly.” Almost nobody agrees on what that means. The truth: different parts of your home wear out at very different speeds, so a single schedule doesn’t work. Here’s the cadence our teams actually use — simple enough to remember, realistic enough to stick to.

Weekly: the maintenance layer

These are the surfaces that touch food, water, and bare feet. Let them slide and everything else feels dirtier than it is.

  • Kitchen counters, sink, and stovetop
  • Bathrooms — toilets, sinks, and a quick shower wipe
  • Floors in high-traffic rooms
  • Trash and recycling

Monthly: the catch-up layer

This is where a recurring clean earns its keep. Once a month, go a level deeper on the things that quietly accumulate.

  • Baseboards and door frames
  • Inside the microwave and around the oven
  • Dusting high shelves, fans, and vents
  • Wiping cabinet fronts and appliance exteriors
The goal isn’t a spotless home 24/7. It’s a home that’s never more than one short session away from spotless.

Seasonal: the deep layer

Three or four times a year, do the jobs nobody enjoys. Inside the oven and fridge, grout, window tracks, under furniture, and behind the appliances. This is the classic “deep clean,” and it’s the single biggest reset you can give a home.

A seasonal deep clean is the reset everything else builds on.

The shortcut

If all of that feels like a lot, that’s exactly why recurring service exists. A standing visit handles the weekly and monthly layers automatically, so the only thing you ever schedule is the occasional seasonal deep clean — and even that, we’ll remind you about.
